Ann Arbor Prom Dress Project

Prom Dresses under $35? Oh, Yeah!

OMG! I think I’m in Prom Dress Heaven!

Buy your Dream  Dress. If you want to go to your prom without spending a fortune, don’t miss this amazing event! The 8th annual Prom Dress Sale will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2020, 11am – 4pm atthe Double Tree by Hilton (formerly the Holiday Inn) at 3600 Plymouth Rd. in Ann Arbor. Over 900 beautiful, like-new prom dresses and over 350 short special occasion dresses will be available to make any girl feel like a princess for her special event. Dresses are available in a huge variety of styles, colors and sizes (0-24). All dresses are lightly used and have been expertly cleaned and mended. Sales are as-is, cash only.

Donate a Dress. Dresses for this sale have been donated by generous community members who have fond memories of a special girl on a happy night. Community members can help the A2 Prom Dress Project bring joy to another young lady by donating gently worn formal gowns to the Ann Arbor Prom Dress Project. The committee will clean and repair all gowns before selling them. To donate, please bring your gown(s) to this year’s event on March 22, or email throughout the year at

About the Project: The A2 Prom Dress Project is the passion of longtime Ann Arbor resident Jan Wery. Jan believes every girl should be able to attend her prom in an amazing dress that won’t break the bank. She began this project in 2013. Jan collects donations of prom dresses year-round to bring the exhilarating magic of being a princess for an evening to high school girls in the greater Ann Arbor area.  In 2019, girls from 58 schools in SE Michigan attended the sale. This is a volunteer-run project that benefits several local organizations serving children and teens in our community.
